Madonna conduce nominalizările la MTV VMA 2026 și concurează cu Taylor Swift

• Madonna a obținut 11 nominalizări la MTV VMA 2026, conducând clasamentul pentru prima dată din 1998, un record personal. Filmul de 14 minute „Confessions II – The Film” candidează la trofeul video of the year.
• Mai multe categorii prezente anul trecut — best rock, best Afrobeats, best pop artist, best album, video for good, best long-form video, best group și song of summer — lipsesc din lista inițială, iar MTV nu a explicat omisiunile. Madonna nu a câștigat niciodată la best dance, deși a mai fost nominalizată.

Taylor Swift o urmează cu nouă nominalizări; Ariana Grande și Sabrina Carpenter primesc câte șapte; Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress și Zara Larsson câte cinci. Șapte dintre primii opt nominalizați ai acestei ediții sunt femei.

Premiile au și pierzători încă de la nominalizări

Anunțul nominalizărilor vine, însă, cu goluri notabile. Mai multe categorii prezente anul trecut lipsesc din lista inițială: best rock, best Afrobeats, best pop artist, best album, video for good, best long-form video, best group și song of summer.

MTV nu a explicat deocamdată omisiunile, lăsând loc de neliniște în industrie. În paralel, categoria best dance revine după o pauză de șapte ani, cu șapte nominalizați, în frunte cu Madonna.

Madonna are și premiere în perspectivă pentru cariera sa

Calendarul și absențele adaugă tensiune. Pentru prima dată, gala are loc toamna, pe 27 septembrie, la Peacock Theatre din Los Angeles, și este prima ediție din zona LA din 2017 încoace. Votul fanilor a început pe vote.MTV.com și se închide pe 25 septembrie, la ora 18:00 ET, mai puțin pentru best new artist, unde rămâne activ până în timpul show-ului. Madonna nu a câștigat niciodată la best dance, categorie introdusă în 1989, deși a mai fost nominalizată, iar „Confessions II – The Film” îi oferă în sfârșit o șansă clară.

Pentru tine, fan al galei, se conturează câteva repere clare. Votul se închide pe 25 septembrie, ora 18:00 ET, iar gala se vede în noaptea de 27 septembrie, pe CBS, MTV și Paramount+. Dacă vrei să-ți numeri voturile dublu, fereastra „Power Hour” rulează zilnic între 13:00 și 14:00 ET, din 20 august până pe 24 septembrie.
